It’s finally up and running!
Well, it’s a work in progress, but thankfully, our cluster has been able to create and post our shared website, the Atskuri Co-op. This website has been started as a part of our Community Development Project as a means of helping the local producers of non-perishable goods sell their products online, domestically and internationally.
We’re working together to find those people within the Atskuri village who are interested in learning more about computer and business education. Currently, we have a local wine-maker who has already bottled some of his wine and wants to continue to expand his customer base and knowledge of business and importing/exporting.
This week, we are hosting two seminars at the local Atskuri school to teach interested parties about creating email addresses, sending and receiving professional emails, contacting potential buyers, and posting products on the website, as well as the fundamentals of business vocabulary and basic translation! We’re still learning Georgian ourselves, but we are very fortunate to have some Host Country Nationals at our sides to aid us in what we aim to do!
Though we’re still at the most primitive stages of the website, we’re at least happy to have it up and running! Feel free to check us out, leave comments, ask questions, send us some love, and forward our information on to those you know!
And apparently, we have a Facebook page, so you can “like” us on that, as well, if you are a member of that networking program. Although I am not, I’m advertising and promoting in my own way. Voila! My newest and latest post.
It’s been an exhausting past couple of weeks, but I’m happy to be here and doing all that I can to be a part of this amazing process. Sleepless nights, Georgian dreams, and overstuffed bellies full of delicious food. I can’t complain in the least.
