Green is the color of the heart chakra – it’s the center for compassion, love and joy. Fitting that this color abounds in the Pacific Northwest, a place that I’ve come to love and feel deeply connected to. I feel, see, smell and appreciate the rain because of the wonderland it’s created in Oregon and Washington. Although it might be gray and overcast most days, the landscape is illuminated by deep shades of green. We went every direction out of Portland – North, South, East and West during our exploration vacation. No matter the direction, we were greeted by cool breezes, fresh air and pine trees that seemed to scratch fragmented clouds away to expose bluer skies. I love the PAC NW – the people, the mindset, the adventure and the great outdoors. It’s quite the escape, if only for a weekend, to take it slow and to just be present with an open heart.
